Garlic Bread

garlic bread

Michael’s favorite side dish is garlic bread. I don’t know how a German ended up loving garlic bread so much, but I guess who wouldn’t find a warm and crunchy piece of baguette topped with garlic, melted butter and parsley irresistible?! The wonderful aroma that fills your kitchen will make the 8 minutes of baking time seem like an eternity! Just to make myself feel less guilty about eating bread and butter, I like to serve this with a big bowl of salad for dinner. 😉

Recipe
Yield: 6 to 8 pieces

INGREDIENTS:
1 demi baguette
3 tbsp. butter, melted
3 to 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced
1 tsp. dried parsley or 1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Mix the melted butter, garlic and parsley in a small bowl. Set aside to let the flavors combine.
3. Halve the baguette lengthwise, then cut each half into 3 or 4 pieces. Place onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
4. Brush or spoon the butter mixture onto pieces of bread. Bake until golden brown, about 8 minutes. Serve immediately.
